TV2 MASTER HYGROMETER
The paperless TV2 Thermo-Hygrometer provides constant temperature/humidity monitoring without paper, pens. Temperature and humidity is sampled once every few seconds and an average is stored in non-volatile memory every 10 minutes. Over a year of temperature and humidity history is stored and displayed for each of its four sensors.
The problems inherent in older mechanical hygrometers are eliminated since there are no moving parts. The sensors stay in calibration for long periods of time and are easily re-calibrated with a three-point calibration table built into each sensor. Often the old type of mechanical hygrometer would be ‘flicked’ by a someone causing the instrument to no only stop working but also to need re-calibration. Visitors can not upset the recording mechanism of this paperless Hygrometer because it is all digital. And the sensor pods are enclosed in a small plastic box to protect them from inquisitive visitors.
Wireless Sensors
Forget about running wires to the sensors. Just position the wireless sensors in the areas you want to monitor or alarm and mount the display unit on the wall in a central location. The range is: over 60 feet, clear line-of-sight.
Museums, Clean Rooms, Warehouses, Testing Labs, etc…
The Paperless Hygrometer is used in museums, art galleries, computer rooms, clean rooms, testing labs, laboratories, etc.. to provide accurate temperature/humidity monitoring.
The temperature and humidity data logged by the monitor can be downloaded to a computer either on demand or continuously so charts or numeric data can be printed out or saved to files for lending institutions when required.
The hygrometer uses analog sensors to monitor the temperature and humidity to ensure that the readings it takes are accurate. But, the analog readings are converted to a 24-bit digital number before being transmitted to the display unit, to ensure the complete accuracy of the measurement.
The sensors do not need to be re-calibrated frequently. If you have been using a sling psychrometer to re-calibrate the old drum type hygrometers you can throw it away. If the sensors do need to be re-calibrated, adjustments can be made to the built in calibration table.
Testing Laboratories
Placing the Hygrometer in the testing areas ensures that you will have a complete record of temperature and humidity conditions during testing. A chart of conditions during testing can be printed out and included with the test results.
Warehouses
If you are storing inventory that is temperature and/or humidity sensitive, the Hygrometer is the perfect instrument for protecting that inventory. High and low alarms can be set for temperature and humidity to alert you if conditions every become unsafe. The TV2 hygrometer can send phone, email or text alerts if any monitored condition becomes unsafe. If you are storing goods for a customer you can print out or email a chart of conditions in the warehouse each month for your records.
Copy the Temperature and Humidity log to a Computer
The TV2 Hygrometer downloads to your computer through the USB power cord or over the Local Area Network, automatically with the free TView PC interface software. It copies the temperature and humidity every few minutes so you always have a backup copy of your data on your computer. Charts can be viewed on the computer screen and printed for any period of time.
See the logged data on your computer screen.

Product FAQ
Q. How accurate is your temperature sensor?
A. Our TV2 temperature sensor is accurate to ±0.3°C.
Q. How accurate is your humidity sensor?
A. Our humidity sensors is accurate to ±3.0%.
Q. Do I need both a humidity and a temperature sensor?
A. No, the temperature sensor and humidity sensor are built into one module measuring 2″ x 2″ x 1″.
Q. Can I print out a log of temperature and humidity?
A. Yes, the logged data can be downloaded to a PC at any time and a color chart of conditions can be printed.
Q. Do I need technical help to install the TV2?
A. Not usually. If help is needed we can supply it via telephone, which is almost always sufficient. If you have a very large computer system your are integrating the TV2 into, you might need some help from your IT department.
Q. Can I see the current temperature/humidity on my phone or from my home computer?
A. Yes if you use port forwarding. You might need some technical assistance from your computer guys to do this.
Q. Does the TV2 monitor meet JCAHO, CAP, FDA requirements?
A. Yes. It meets and exceeds all requirements for monitoring temperature and humidity.
Q. How far away can the sensors be mounted from the TV2 monitor?
A. The wireless sensors have a clear line-of-sight range of ~ 100 feet. Metal racks and walls between the sensors and monitor will decrease the range.
Q. How can I get the sensors further away from the monitor?
A. Our wired sensors which can be extended to hundreds of feet.
Q. What is the difference in accuracy between wired and wireless sensors?
A. The accuracy is identical.
Q. Do I mount the monitor in the office even though the sensors are in the warehouse?
A. It depends. If you are using wireless sensors the range will cut down if the signals have to go through walls. However if you place the monitor and sensors in the warehouse and plug the monitor into a wired Ethernet socket you can view the data on any computer which is part of the same LAN.
Q. Do the sensors need to be plugged into wall power?
A. No. Each sensors is powered by a 9 volt DC battery which has a life of about a year?
Q. How often is the display updated?
A. Every eleven to twenty seconds.
Q. How often is data logged?
A. This can be set to any interval between once a minute to once a day. Each sensor can have its own data-logging interval. The default interval is every 10 minutes.
Q. How safe is the logged temperature/humidity data?
A. Logged data is stored in non-volatile memory in the monitor. It can also be automatically backed up to a computer.
