Monitor any Refrigerator and/or Freezer
Hospitals, laboratories, doctor's offices, and even National Guard Units store vaccines and medicines in home-style refrigerators and freezers because they are inexpensive and readily available. These units are not built to maintain the same close temperature tolerances that scientific units do but they can be safely used. Just add the Easy Freezer Alarm to the refrigerator and/or freezer and you are completely protected.
You can, of course, add the Easy Freezer Alarm to a scientific refrigerator or freezer also. Monitor your -80° freezer to keep a record of the temperatures, to comply with JCAHO regualtions and for alarm notification. Add the optional auto dialer and receive a phone call if the temperature gets too hot or cold for too long.
Monitoring temperature 24/7
The time-honored method of manually monitoring the refrigerator with a piece of paper stuck to the side of the unit is not adequate nor does it comply with regulations of JCAHO and other regulatory agencies. It is important and necessary to continuously monitor and keep a permanent record of the temperature twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
It is all to easy for a refrigerator or freezer to malfunction, warm up and then cool down while no one is around. Were this to happen, it would not be noticed with the manual system where temperature is recorded only once or twice a day. And, of course, with the manual system there is no way to tell what happened over the weekend.
Phone Call Alert
The Easy Freezer Alarm monitors both a refrigerator and a freezer simultaneously, or two different freezers, or two different refrigerators. With the optional auto dialer you will receive a phone call any time the alarm is triggered. So if the temperature gets too warm or cold for too long or the power fails the auto dialer will call several people and deliver a message. You will never be unaware of an unsafe condition again.
Audible and Visual Alarm
The easy freezer alarm's built-in buzzer begins to ring and the screen begins to flash whenever your safe zone is exceeded. An alarm menu is used to set the high and low points and delays. A relay, which is triggered on every alarm can be used to trip an auto-dialer or external alarm.

Built-in Calibration table
NIST traceable calibrated sensors are available. Recalibration can be done in your location by comparing temperature to a certified and calibrated thermometer and entering any offset into the three point onboard calibration table.
Battery Backup
The Freezer Alarm normally operates on wall power. If wall power is interrupted the 9 volt battery takes over and continues to run the unit for up to 40 hours. All monitoring and logging and even alarms will continue to operate normally. The screen will go to sleep after 20 seconds to preserve the battery but this does not affect the collection of data or alarm.
No maintenance or monthly fees.
The Easy Freezer Alarm uses no paper charts or pens and requires no maintenance - there are no moving parts to wear out or replace. The Easy Freezer Alarm is your protection against unsafe temperatures. If you are using the auto dialer you determine who it will call and the message it will leave.
