Dear Rick,

Do you have tissue stored in freezers? Are you in compliance with the JCAHO PC.17.10 (M) C 7?

Are you 100% sure that the temperature of your freezer is at the right levels? Do they stay at the correct levels? Can you verify a constant temperature if necessary?

 Tissue Storage Temperatures

Hospitals and laboratories storing tissue are using the ThermaViewer to monitor and documenting temperature. It's two sensors can be used to monitor two different freezers simultaneously, and chart a ten month temperature hystory.

JCAHO standard PC.17.10 applies to all organizations that store or issue tissue, which may include areas outside of the clinical laboratory, for example, surgery and outpatient centers and tissue banks.

Two Dimensional Instruments is in the business of helping our customers monitor and document temperature and humidity. Our ThermaViewer is the best way to look at temperature. It samples, stores and displays a temperature history on its large LCD panel display so you always know what is going on and what has happened in the past.

Sincerely,

Rick Kaestner
